The Play+ Prepaid Card
Play+ is a reloadable prepaid Mastercard built for legal sports betting accounts. The Sportsbook RI Play+ card lets you deposit and withdraw instantly, spend funds anywhere Mastercard is accepted, and pull cash from ATMs — all without involving your primary bank account.
What is Play+?
Play+ is the brand for a prepaid card service operated by Sightline Payments, designed specifically for the legal US gambling industry. Each licensed sportsbook offers its own branded Play+ card. The Sportsbook RI version is tied to your RI Lottery account and works only with Sportsbook RI for gambling deposits — but the card itself spends anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
How to apply
- Log into the Sportsbook RI mobile app or website
- Go to Account → Banking → Add Funding Method → Play+
- Complete the Play+ enrollment (one-time, ~3 minutes). You’ll provide your name, address, SSN, and date of birth — most of this is pre-filled from your Sportsbook RI KYC.
- Activation is usually instant. Some cases require 24–48 hours.
Once approved, your Play+ card appears in your Sportsbook RI banking screen as both a deposit and withdrawal option. The physical Mastercard arrives by mail within 7–10 business days, but you can start using the virtual card immediately.

Fees to know
Play+ has no fee for deposits into Sportsbook RI or for winnings transferred from Sportsbook RI. Other fees may apply:

- Inactivity: small monthly fee if you don’t use the card for 12+ months
- Replacement card: ~$5 if you lose the physical card
