About the property

Bally’s Twin River in Lincoln is the largest casino in Rhode Island and the host facility for the state’s flagship sportsbook. Originally Twin River Casino, the property was rebranded in 2020 after Bally’s Corporation acquired Twin River Worldwide Holdings. It sits about 15 minutes north of Providence and roughly an hour from Boston.

The casino covers more than 162,000 square feet of gaming space, including video lottery terminals, table games, and the dedicated sportsbook lounge.

The sportsbook lounge

The retail sportsbook is located on the casino floor. It includes:

  • Staffed betting windows for traditional ticket wagers
  • Self-service betting kiosks accepting cash
  • Multiple large-screen TVs showing live games
  • Lounge seating with food and drink service
  • Cash-out windows for winning tickets

You can place all bet types available through Sportsbook RI: moneylines, spreads, totals, parlays, props, futures, and live in-game bets.

Historical significance

On November 26, 2018, the first legal post-PASPA sports bet in Rhode Island was placed at this property. RI was the 8th US state to launch legal sports betting following the Supreme Court’s decision in Murphy v. NCAA. Governor Gina Raimondo and former Patriots player Joe Andruzzi were on hand for the ceremonial first wager.
